Rock Harbor Truth Monthly E-Newsletter
A Message from Rock Harbor Truth
We are seeing real momentum.
Across Cape Cod — and beyond — people are showing up. The upcoming community Walk for Truth is drawing participation both locally and in solidarity from afar. Newspaper coverage and letters to the editor are bringing increased visibility to long-standing concerns. Earlier this month, Shawn DeLude spoke before the Select Board, asking what actions are being taken to address reports of abuse at Rock Harbor. You can watch that meeting here:
At the same time, support for this work is growing. We have begun receiving donations through our website, helping to lay the groundwork for expanded survivor services, with more developments ahead.
This is how change happens — through community, persistence, and a willingness to speak truth in public spaces.
We are grateful to everyone who is part of this growing movement.
Supporting the Work: Our Donate Button Is Live
We’re excited to share that our donate button is now live on our website:
www.rockharbortruth.org
This marks an important step in expanding what we can offer.
As Rock Harbor Truth continues to grow, our focus remains clear: supporting survivors, helping individuals safely leave high-control environments, raising awareness so the truth is known, and working to prevent future abuse. Every step we take, from survivor support to public education, is centered on protecting vulnerable individuals and ensuring that those who have suffered are not forgotten and are supported as they rebuild their lives.
Community Walk for Truth
This walk has been organized by a group of concerned local citizens. Members of Rock Harbor Truth and Community of Jesus survivors are grateful to stand alongside them and participate in this important moment.

Remembering Mike Laraja
This month, we remember Mike Laraja.
His life and story remain part of this community’s history. As we continue this work, we hold space for the experiences that shaped so many — and for those whose voices were not always fully heard.
