Our Mission
Rock Harbor Truth is a survivor-led nonprofit dedicated to truth, healing, and justice for those harmed by high-control religious and institutional systems.
Founded by survivors of the Community of Jesus and related networks, we exist to educate the public, advocate for accountability, and support survivors as they rebuild their lives. We believe that truth is the foundation of healing.
Our work is grounded in lived experience, careful research, and a commitment to integrity. By bringing hidden stories into the light, we help survivors find community, empower the public with accurate information, and work toward lasting systemic change.
Our Three Pillars
Education
Knowledge creates awareness. Awareness creates change.
We educate the public about spiritual abuse, coercive control, and institutional harm through survivor stories, historical research, podcasts, publications, and educational resources. By documenting history and preserving the experiences of survivors, we help ensure these stories are neither forgotten nor repeated.
Advocacy
Truth deserves action.
We advocate for transparency, accountability, and stronger protections for children and vulnerable adults. We work alongside journalists, policymakers, researchers, legal professionals, and community partners to promote institutional accountability and meaningful legal reform.
Survivor Support
No survivor should have to heal alone.
We connect survivors with community resources, peer support and educational opportunities,. We foster a compassionate community where survivors are believed, supported, and empowered to reclaim their lives.
