Our Leadership Team
President
Shawn DeLude
Shawn is a Cape Cod–based entrepreneur and community leader best known for founding and building Nauset Disposal into one of the largest privately held waste-hauling companies in southeastern Massachusetts. He launched the company in 2000 in Orleans, Massachusetts, starting with a single truck and a hands-on commitment to service. Drawing on early experience in the waste industry — from riding on the back of disposal trucks as a youth to working in sales and management after Bayside Disposal’s acquisition by BFI — Shawn built Nauset Disposal with a strong emphasis on customer service, employee culture, and local roots.
Under his leadership, Nauset Disposal grew from a one-man operation into a regional leader serving thousands of residential and commercial customers across Cape Cod and beyond. The company became widely recognized for its operational excellence and community engagement, supporting numerous local nonprofits and civic initiatives. In 2022, Shawn retired from the waste-hauling business following Nauset Disposal’s merger with Waste Connections.
Most recently, Shawn founded DeLude Communications, a boutique marketing and communications firm in Orleans focused on helping mission-driven organizations strengthen their voice and impact, which he has since sold to Bright Buoy Marketing.
He has since founded Rock Harbor Truth, a survivor-led nonprofit dedicated to exposing hidden abuses, supporting those who still suffer, and bringing healing, justice, and lasting change to individuals and families whose voices have too long been silenced.
Shawn is widely respected for his deep involvement in the Cape Cod community, having served on multiple nonprofit and business boards and received regional recognition for leadership and philanthropy.

Vice President
Tim DeLude
Tim is the President of Shore Things Environmental, a Harwich-based, full-service wastewater company serving all of Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts. Tim leads a dedicated team committed to delivering practical, economical wastewater solutions tailored to the unique needs of the Cape.
Prior to founding Shore Things Environmental in 2023, Tim spent 21 years as Chief Operating Officer of Nauset Disposal. Following Nauset’s merger with Waste Connections in 2022, he served as District Manager for the South Shore and Cape Cod region for one year. During that time, Tim made the decision to launch a business that would allow him to focus more on his young family while addressing the growing wastewater challenges facing the Cape.
Tim lives in Harwich with his wife, Anna, and their three children. He is deeply committed to the Cape Cod community and has been actively involved in numerous local organizations. He is a past board member of Cape Cod Young Professionals and has been recognized as a 40 Under 40 recipient by Cape & Plymouth Business, a Patriotic Employer by the Massachusetts National Guard, and Sponsor of the Year by the Cape Cod Military Support Foundation.
An avid volunteer, Tim has served as a mentor and coach for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Nauset Youth Basketball, Boy Scouts, and various local recreation programs. He has also run seven marathons, raising funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Tedy’s Team of the American Stroke Association.
Tim holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain’s License and enjoys fishing, spending time at Nauset’s Outer Beach, and painstakingly chasing a little white ball around the golf course.
