This past month reminded us of something important: people are paying attention.

From the Walk for Truth, to growing community conversations, to increased media coverage and public engagement, we are seeing more people willing to ask hard questions, listen to survivors, and participate in meaningful dialogue.

What once felt isolated is becoming visible.

At the same time, we remain grounded in the heart of this work — creating support, connection, and pathways forward for survivors.

Thank you to everyone who continues to walk alongside us.

🚶 Walk for Truth: Thank You

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Community Walk for Truth — both in person at Rock Harbor and remotely from across the country.

Survivors, family members, advocates, and supporters gathered together to:

  • Amplify survivor voices
  • Send love and support to those still inside
  • Stand publicly for truth, accountability, and healing

Many participants also joined virtually, walking in solidarity and sharing photos and messages online. We were deeply moved by the response and community support.

The event livestream and photos remain available on our social media platforms.

📰 Increased Media & Public Awareness

Over the past several weeks, public conversation surrounding the Community of Jesus and Rock Harbor has continued to grow.

Newspaper articles, opinion pieces, and letters to the editor have helped bring visibility to survivor experiences and long-standing concerns that deserve thoughtful public attention. We have been especially encouraged to see survivors and community members speaking publicly in their own words — sharing personal reflections, writing letters to the editor, and helping broaden awareness of these issues.

We are grateful to everyone contributing thoughtfully and courageously to these conversations.

🍷 Survivor Happy Hour

We recently hosted our first Happy Hour with Rock Harbor Truth — a relaxed virtual gathering for survivors to reconnect, share updates, and simply spend time together.

One of the most meaningful parts of this work continues to be watching people rediscover community outside of high-control environments.

We plan to continue these gatherings monthly and look forward to growing these spaces of connection and support.

💙 Building Survivor Resources

As donations begin to come in through our website, we continue working to expand meaningful support for survivors.

Over the past several weeks, Rock Harbor Truth has applied for several grants aimed at building programs and services specifically designed to support survivors of high-control and coercive environments.

We remain committed to creating sustainable, trauma-informed resources that help survivors find connection, support, and healing.
